First ask some active social workers, including those with hiring authority, what they think of on-line degrees. and find out how you do the practical components of the MSW in an on-line program.

Capella University offers such a degree. I found some info at JustColleges, here's a link to it: http://www.justcolleges.com/fs/capella/capella_ms_hs_socialwork.htm You can contact the college and they'll send you more info about it. Hope this helps :)

Capella is not a regionally accredited school nor does it have a CSWE accredited social work program. All these online programs will say you can get a degree from them in social work - and I'm sorry to say all you will get is a worthless piece of paper. Without the accreditation you will be SIGNIFICANTLY limited. The truth is there are NO fully online accredited programs. Your best bet is to contact the largest close accredited MSW program (go to www.cswe.org) to search by your location). Many of these will have distance eduction and other options - this is your best bet for now. DA
