What can I do with a Masters of Social Work

What can I do with a Masters of Social Work?
Hi I am considering going to school to get my masters of social work. I volunteer on our communities local distress line, love working with, getting to know and helping people, and I like to work in teams and be creative. I am not positive this is the career path for me as I have heard from some people you will burn out quickly and will not find it a fulfilling job. Please help! What all can you do with an MSW?

a better question might be, what can't you do ;) You can work in a hospital, a school, you can get your LCSW and do counseling, you can work in a prison, you can work with the elderly, you can work in hospice, you can work with the youth, you can teach at a University or Community college. Just make sure the school is accredited. You can check out www.usajobs.gov for some of the military positions. Companies like Spectrum will also hire Social Workers for military bases.
