That depends on you! How many classes can you take at one time? It might take 2 years and it might take 8 years,

5-6 years, maybe longer if a Thesis is required.

2 years full time or 4 years part time of graduate school. 4 to 8 years all together. A thesis or comprehensive exam is required.

Typically, it takes four years to earn a bachelor's degree, and then two years after that to earn a masters. I say typically, because that estimation is for a full time student. It depends on the pace you set. If you have a full time job and are taking night classes, it could take a little longer to earn that degree. It depends on how many hours you take per semester. The average full time student will take 16 credit hours, basically 4 classes. Some take more, some take less. A part time student is someone who takes less than 12 credit hours per semester. 12 credit hour semesters are considered full time student, but it can add an extra year on to your degree. Less than 12 can add multiple years. Sometimes, though, it's best for full time workers to do a class or two here and there, because they have other priorities in life, it really depends on you. I hope this helps.

You don't indicate if you already have a BA. If you do then it will be 2-4 years depending if you go full or part time. If you don't have a BA, then you should consider a BSW. If you do well (usually a 3.5 gpa) you can apply for advanced standing to most MSW programs allowing you to do your MSW in one calendar year (going full time) or two years going part time. DA
